People charge when its too late

I completely agree with the survey that the people have a low level of awareness about importance of oral health and hygiene in our country. The reason for such abysmal awareness is related to education level of India. Moreover, in our country dental problems have never been taken seriously, until people suffer from a severe toothache. As we can see that there are no awareness related programs conducts by the government or any public health body. Regular check-ups are a must, ideally in every six months. Mostly people have the problem of bleeding gums, but they don’t want to consult doctors for such problems. We may not realize but maximum bacteria stays in our oral cavity. These bacteria are friendly too, but when they get conducive environment for themselves they can become harmful. Moreover some cardiac ailments are also linked with the level of C-reactive protein in the mouth and gums. So we can prevent cardiac diseases too with regular check-ups. Lastly we must know how to brush our teeth. Most people only brush the exteriors, which is not a good practice. One should start brushing from the upper gum to the lower gum.
